Rhythm and movement often appear in Elisha Fields’ paintings, manifesting her
personal experience as both artist and musician and the heritage of
generations of visual and performing artists in her family.
While living
in the Caribbean Islands
for almost 10 years, she created decorative fabrics for boutiques and
hotels. She also managed a gallery, art supply and framing store in the
West Indies, where she discovered acrylic paints and came to love and
utilize their versatility and durability.
